My first travel in 2016 was to Tenerife, Spain in the Canary Islands!

 

If you’ve ever considered visiting Tenerife, allow me to convince you…

 

Aside from being a gorgeous island with black sand beaches, a volcano and palm trees, Tenerife is a very lively, vibrant and colourful place. The locals are very sweet and I found that in any restaurant and hospitality sector they will always go above and beyond to ensure you’re enjoying everything.  

 

As a young woman who enjoys the simple pleasures in life, I really enjoyed being in Tenerife. It’s beautiful, sunny, relaxing and friendly. The town centre as well had a lot of history and I was happy to compare it with the Latin American culture and atmosphere.

 

Things to keep in mind if you are planning a trip here is the language. Spanish is used more frequently, and I would say most of the locals do not speak English. Interestingly enough however, there is a large tourist population of Germans, therefore some of the staff have learned German to be able to communicate with them.

 

Overall Tenerife is a solid 10/10 travel destination in my books. Hope you get the chance to visit!
